Flax Paper: Gimmick or Game Changer?

Hey everyone, happy Thursday.

By know you’ve probably heard about the new Arco Tank from Horizon Tech. RiP Trippers has a great video that you should definitely check out for a great first look and review.

According to the manufacturer, “Flax paper can hold more e-Liquid than cotton and sends it straight to the coil improving flavor and most importantly of all, your overall vaping experience. Flax paper will also reduce the frequency of dry and burnt hits due to the higher burning point as well.

This sounds amazing, but is truly the game changer that it’s being made out to be? Now I personally haven’t tried it and probably won’t be ordering one simply because I hate buying coils. With all of the great RBA’s, RTA’s, and RDTA’s out there, it just makes more sense to invest a good one along with the matts to build your own coils. Now I get that not everyone want’s to build coils, but at $13 for a pack of three replacement heads, the costs can start adding up.

I’m also thinking of the potential health risks. Now granted, almost anything is going to be better than smoking, but this feels like we’re just adding another unknown into the mix. More info is sure to pop up soon, but I’d rather not give the anti-vapers any more fuel for the fire until we can convince the majority that vaping is not the demon it’s made out to be.

Lastly, good ‘ol cotton and coils seems to be working just fine for me. I get great results and really only need to replace a coil every few weeks.  So until some smart person out there shows me how to incorporate flax paper into a custom build, I think I’ll be sticking to the tried and true system.

Do I think this whole flax paper thing is going to catch on? Yeah, we’re probably going to see a lot of manufacturers jumping on the bandwagon, but I don’t think it’ll last. What do you all think? Is this going to change how everyone vapes? We’ll just have to wait and see…
